2018 TRADIES' AMBROSE
Yesterday, Sunday 15th July, was an outstanding day at Cardwell Golf Club. It was the inaugural Tradies’ sponsored Ambrose which is set to become an annual event. Watch this space next year because it will be bigger and better!!! Super prizes were on offer and great raffle with 4 different prizes. 51 people enjoyed the day, with each taking home something.
There was laughter, whoops of joy, groans and lots of good natured sledging for some great shots, hacks into trees, duffs, hooks, slices, plops into water and any other combination of shots.
Winners: “White Haores” Greg Smith, Adrian white, John Hoare and Scott Smith.
Second: “Terrible Trio” Ian Ingram, Don Peachey and Paul Busst
Third: “Oldies but Goodies” Jackie Olditch, Ken English, Kevin and Kathleen Brown
Fourth: “Hinchinbrook Hoarbers” Peter Topen, Sneza Lazarus, Keith and Marina Hoare
Fifth: “Don’t Give A” Andrew Herbertson, Julie Lee, Paul Walton and Tony McCoy
There were two groups who deserve a special mention - our "Shady Ladies" Arlie Robinson, Cheryl Adams, Jill Carson ably led by a naughty Jenny Quigley! Last but not least, what we would like to see, a junior thoroughly enjoying the day as part of "Kenny's Gang" Ken and June Kane, Graham Gardiner and Brianna Gardiner.
Other teams who enjoyed the day were:
“Sultans of Swing” Chris, Christine, Kyle and Tracey
“M &Ms” Rowly, Vicki, Terry and Isabell
“Patriots” Fraser, Meredith, Mary-Ann and Barry
“Big and Easy” Burt, John, Johnno and Al
“Hinchinbrook Hillbillies” Mick, Lil, Laurie and Zac
“Partee-On” Matt, Kerry, Mick and Ros
A Huge thank you to those who worked tirelessly to make the day a resounding success.

The pics below show what a great crew they are - BUT it was difficult to get a picture of them. We shudder to think what it would have been like if they had ALL been there, a few had other commitments so regrettably missed the day, I'm sure they will all make next years!!!
