2021 Teitzel's Tully IGA
Australia Day Ambrose
Sunday 24th January saw 53 players take to the Cardwell Golf course to participate in the Teitzel Tully IGA sponsored Australia Day Ambrose. The weather was awesome, the course was in great shape considering the amount of rain, the scores were close and everyone agreed they had a thoroughly enjoyable day. At the end of the game everyone got to enjoy a tasty BBQ supplied by Tully IGA and ably barbecued by Geoff Reading with the help of his lovely wife Kay.
The winners were T.T. (Peter Topen, Sneza Lazarus, Craig and Ellen-May Teitzel) on 27.5 points. Craig and Ellie donated their prize to the raffle!!! In second place were Handicaps (Mark Sheahan, Ryan Sheahan, Tom Ferguson and Aimee Sheahan) with 28.62 points. Third was the Marine Hotel (Alan and Margaret Power, Ian Ingram and Don Peachey) with 29 points. Fourth place went to the Bulls (Col Campbell, Callan Solari and Hayden Champion) with 29.42 points. The men’s longest drive went to Callan Solari who managed to drive 272 metres and through the muddy patch guarding the green and on to the green! The ladies’ longest drives went to Mandy Carucci for the low handicappers and Kathy Cogill took the longest drive for the high handicappers.
Thank you to the sponsors, the green staff and volunteers and all those who made the day possible and especially to all the players.
