CROSS COUNTRY AMBROSE
On Sunday 29th August a field of 60 enjoyed the Annual 4 person, 9 hole Cross Country Ambrose, a very challenging but enjoyable event.
The winners were a team from Innisfail, Big Olays (Leon Walker, Luke, Hunter and Stirling McAvoy) with a nett 28 on a countback from F.I.S.H. (Chris and Christine Taylor and Keith and Marina Hoare) also nett 28 in second place. Third place went to Drat (Ron and Leanne Ash, Jonno Dean and Geoff Reading) nett 28.19 and fourth place was Risky Business (Jackie Olditch, Ken English, Clint Isaac and Denise Walton) nett 28.5 on a countback. The N.A.G.A. went to the Four Hotshots (Arlie Robinson, Cheryl Adams, Leanne White and Kim Grey). The men's long drive for handicaps 26 or less went to Keith Hoare while Zac Hurcum had the longest drive for men with a handicap of 27 and over. The Ladies' long drive for handicaps 29 or less went to Christine Taylor while Helen Ansems had the longest drive for ladies with a handicap of 30 and over.
It is great to see youngsters coming along with their families and joining in the fun.
The Country Club kept everyone refreshed and the CCC Kitchen provided the welcome food for the day.
