9 hole four person Ambrose
On Sunday 1st August 16 teams of four people took to the Cardwell Golf Course for the Annual Seafarms Ambrose. The weather was magnificent, the course in excellent condition, the prizes provided by Seafarms were very generous. Everyone agreed that it was a great deal of fun and judging by the banter and laughter everyone enjoyed themselves.
The winners were the TUGAS (Ray Carucci, Paul Walton, Andrew Herbertson, Bill Dorries) who were elated, they said it had taken them 6 years to achieve a win!! In second place were Mandy’s Marvels (Mandy Carucci, Ian Brooks, Bert Pajonk, Nigel Baker). Third place went to Hitler (Kass Marshall, Mike Ellicott, Jo and Phil Barron). Fourth place were Gamin (Dave Hoare, Ian Ingram, Alan Mawer, Shane Dorries) and in fifth place Whatever (Ron and Leanne Ash, Mike and Sue Tanner). The N.A.G.A. went to Wannabees (Andrew and Helen Coope, Barry and Maryanne Hare), there is some joy to being last. Alan Mawer had the Men’s longest drive for handicaps 26 and less and Peter Butler for the handicaps 27 and over. Jo Barron had the longest drive for ladies with a handicap 30 or less and Marina Hoare was delighted to take out the longest drive for handicaps 31 and over. There were many prizes for team N.T.P.s and Approach shots but there was one Seafarms Special N.T.P for an individual and this was taken by Phil Pentecost. As well as the playing prizes there was a raffle and lucky door prizes!! Thank you Seafarms!
